The Irish Way includes 15-25 hours of
classroom instruction in a relaxed environment. All classes are
taught by certified professors and teachers who focus on real world
events and encourage student interaction.

Gaelic Language (3-5 Hours)
Study basic Irish language, grammar and vocabulary. You will
have the chance to hear Gaelic spoken firsthand throughout your
journey, especially when you visit the Aran Islands where Gaelic
is still their first language.

Irish History (3-5 Hours)
Learn how Ireland’s modern culture was born from the Rising of
Independence (c. 1916-1922).

Northern Ireland Conflict (1-2
Hours)
Learn about the ethnic, religious, and political conflict in
Northern Ireland and the three decades of violence between
elements of Northern Ireland’s nationalist and unionist
communities.

Irish Art (3-5 Hours)
Discuss how the arts can impact all areas of study, from
commerce and engineering, to science. Create your own Irish art
masterpiece.

|
Irish Literature (3-5 Hours)
Study Irish writers, poets, and playwrights including: Paul
Durcan, Brian Friel, Seamus Heaney, James Joyce, Hugh Leonard,
Frank O’Connor, Liam O’Flaherty, J.M. Synge, Oscar Wilde, and
W.B. Yeats.

Irish Music (3-5 Hours)
Listen to traditional Irish music and learn to play a few tunes
on the bodhrán, concertina, or tin whistle.
